Qualifications and Experience
After being a semi-professional swimmer in India, Mugdha decided to pursue physiotherapy to remain in close touch with the sports community and qualified as a physiotherapist from Sancheti Institute College of Physiotherapy (India). Post graduation she worked as the head physiotherapist of a Badminton Academy managing sports injuries and training drills for players aged 10-25 years old. That experience encouraged her to study further in Sports Medicine at University Glasgow while working part time at a local football club. Mugdha is now working as a First Contact Practitioner (FCP) with NHS GP surgeries and also part time with hands-on rehabilitation management at Physio Solutions.
In her spare time, she loves to travel and keep herself fit by working
out and sports.
Special Interests
With her sports background, both as an athlete and a sports physiotherapist, Mugdha takes a keen interest in post-injury rehab, strength and conditioning as well as a holistic approach for ergonomic/posture- induced musculoskeletal issues.
Special interests include:
- Sports injuries: acute/chronic
- Racquet sport/Football/Athletics related injuries
- Repetitive stress injuries like Tennis elbow, Runner’s knee
- Chronic conditions: Achilles tendonitis, Rotator cuff injuries, upper back pain due to ergonomics
- Joint and muscle kinesiology taping
- Post surgical rehabilitation after Knee/Hip replacement, fracture
- Knee, Ankle, Shoulder conditions
Clinic Days
Mugdha is available on Wednesday afternoons from 1.30pm-6.30pm
